 Angelina Jolie has a face made for cinema. It’s those green eyes, which can go from communicating anger to desire imperceptibly. It’s her famous pout, which can devastatingly unfurl vulgarities and compliments with equal aplomb. But it’s more than just her beauty. It’s her physicality, which is forceful in a way that belies the thinness of her frame, and the overwhelming burst of charisma she brings to the screen. Yet, for all her screen presence, Jolie doesn’t guarantee a good movie. For every film of hers I adore (like her directorial effort By the Sea), there are countless others that don’t rise to the level of her stardom or skill. It’s frustrating to see one of Hollywood’s most fascinating stars often cast in lackluster work. Which is why it was so thrilling to see her given a proper vehicle onscreen again. Disney Stock Sells Off As Wall Street Processes Streaming Cooldown – Update   UPDATED with closing price.   Disney   shares fell almost 3% to close at $173.73, their lowest closing price since February 1, a day after it released mixed quarterly earnings. Shares made up ground in the final part of the trading day after starting the session down as much as 5%. But  Wall Street  did not take a shine to the numbers for the quarter ending in April, which showed strong profit but a double-digit slide in revenue and  streaming  growth below expectations. Trading volume was three times the stock’s normal level. Broader stock markets showed solid gains, with the Dow back in sight of record territory, as relaxed Covid-19 restrictions and improved employment data fueled bullish sentiment. The Brit Awards

 The Brit Awards are underway, with the ceremony marking the first live large-scale indoor event since March last year. The event is being held at the O2 Arena and will include live performances from Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk. Jack Whitehall is returning as the show’s host. Among those nominated are AJ Tracey, Headie One, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Bruce Springsteen, Cardi B, Jessie Ware and Celeste.   John Mulaney and his wife Anna Marie Tendler are going their separate ways. The pair have called it quits after six years of marriage, a rep for Mulaney confirms to PEOPLE. "John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work," his rep said in a statement to Page Six, which first reported the news I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage," Tendler said in a statement to PEOPLE via her rep. "I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery." News of their split comes nearly five months after Mulaney, 38, checked into rehab in December, when he was seeking treatment after relapsing following a decades-long battle with addiction.  about first lady Jill Biden's plans to visit West Virginia this week, and she won't be traveling alone. Biden will be accompanied by actress Jennifer Garner, who grew up in Charleston, during her visit to the state on Thursday.  The pair is expected to arrive at Charleston's Yeager Airport at approximately 11:15 Thursday morning before traveling to Arnoldsburg, in Calhoun County, for a tour of Arnoldsburg Elementary School at approximately 12:45. Around 3 p.m., the  women will visit a vaccination center at Capital High School in Charleston before departing from Yeager Airport at 5 p.m., where they will greet members of the West Virginia National Guard and their families. VENOM 2

    The first Venom film is sort of an oddity when it comes to reception with critics bashing it for a lack of focus (among other things), but audiences scoring it quite highly. There is usually some discrepancy in ratings but it’s not often you see a 51% difference in critical and audience scores. Despite this, it still turned out to be one of the biggest box office surprises of the year, raking in nearly $900 million on a relatively small budget of $100 million. Venom: Let There Be Carnage picks up where the last film left off and fans are excited for the big screen debut of a classic favourite: Carnage. The film will see Tom Hardy return to the titular role with other stars including Woody Harrelson, Stephen Graham, and Naomie Harris. In another (welcome) surprise, J. K. Simmons is also returning to the role he was arguably born for, as J. Jonah Jameson. The movie is set to release in theatres on September 24th so fingers crosses the cinemas are open by then.
